Samsung HT-Q70 XM Ready Five-Disc DVD Changer Home Theater System Review from Allen C Huffman. Great device, but too big., I actually bought this for $329 from CompUSA (it was $379 on Amazon at the time), and it’s a great unit but it’s just too big. It’s far longer than a typical VCR or DVD player, meaning it sticks out a few inches from me TV stand. I was going to buy a new TV stand but the three models I liked were also too short for this gadget. It’s just a much larger DVD unit than most typical devices, it seems. Performance-wise, it’s great. There was not enough speaker cable to run the read speakers around the edge of my small apartment bedroom, but other than that it’s been nice the past week I’ve had it.
I have put some video and pictures on a USB device and tried to play them. I found a few video formats that worked, and browsing the photos was alot slower than what you might be used to (with a computer or digital camera or whatever) but this is just an extra perk for a 5.1 surround sound DVD player.
